On Friday, May 17, 2024, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Social Work students visited different community agencies in Kiambu County for experiential learning on community development, community organization, and social development.  The field trip exposed students to community empowerment, economic empowerment of rural communities, transformative local leadership in community organization, social action for social change, appropriate technology for rural transformation, human-centered social work practice in community work among other key lessons. The students were accompanied by the Social Work faculty team:  Prof. G. G. Wairire, Dr. James G. Kariuki, Ms. Bokhe Chacha, and Mr. David Kinyanjui.
