This Symbol of Honor was presented to Emeritus Prof. Amb. Judith Mbula Bahemuka on 29th April 2021 during a virtual event organized in her honor by the Institute for Development Studies (IDS) and the UNESCO/UNITWIN Chair. Prof. Bahemuka taught and mentored many students at the Department of Sociology and Social Work before being appointed to head the UNESCO/UNITWIN Chair.
