Kalamazoo College Exchange Students in a Tree Planting Exercise in Siaya

The Kalamazoo College exchange students donated 200 tree seedlings to the environmental club at Mulaha Mixed Secondary School in Siaya County and joined the club members on Thursday 10th October 2013 in a tree planting exercise at the school.  The tree seedlings were planted along the school’s drive way and perimeter fence.  The school’s Deputy Principal and the Club’s Chairman thanked the Kalamazoo students and promised to take care of the planted seedlings. The Kalamazoo exchange students, who were on an educational excursion in Nyanza region, were accompanied by Mr. Allan Korongo and Lillian Owiti and by staff and youth of Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) Siaya Branch.
